What is your light?

Are there experiences in your life that may seem hard to talk about?
Have you ever wondered why?
Could it be because you never healed?
Have you said what happened out loud?
Is it shame, embarrassment, or judgement?
I asked these questions because, I stumbled across this scripture:
John 1:5-8 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
No matter how dark or how empty of a place you came from or currently in …a light can still shine there.
We are sent, we are birthed, and we are destined to fulfill a purpose.
So, what is your why?
What is your testament of your experience with the light?
Have you ever thought that someone is waiting on you to testify, so that they too can believe?
Do I really have a story to share?
You do have one…you know why you have one? Because you are reading this, that means that the darkness did not overcome you, it did not end you. So, your experience with the light is yours to help others, only when you desire, for it too.
But why can’t I share?
The reason why you may be hesitant to share your experience with the light and what that light did for you, is because of the story you may tell. It could be that there is too much worry on how others will view and look at you.
We may feel God did not call or send you to be any type of witness to anything, but that is not true. Your light can be a breakthrough to someone else’s darkness.
If you reflect on that dark time in your life, what helped you? —could that have been your light?
Healing brings forth a light (no matter how small or big).
Of course, we all don’t want to share or talk about things that you may still be in, because you are in an emotional high. Sometimes speaking from emotions can only channel certain energies to stay present in your life, therefore blocking you to heal. Healing from situations is a process, and usually not wanting to talk about it, is a part of that process. But trust the light is peaking through, in hopes one day it can shine!
